Almsgiving for Lent: Troop Care Packages

Please join St. Paul in showing our appreciation for the sacrifices of our men and women serving in the Armed Forces who are currently deployed and away from home! We will be collecting items for care packages now through March 10. Please refer to the list of suggested items and drop off items in the collection bins in the upper narthex. This drive is sponsored by the Social Ministry committee. We have learned of the needs of our troops from 2Lt Logan Pals who is stationed at Hanscom and Amanda Pope both of whom have shared their experiences and will help guide this project. The timing of our collection is good as it comes at a slow time in care packages after the boom of the Christmas season. Please purchase or donate items at your expense and no coordination is needed for the amount of each item. Items with asterisk have a higher priority but all items are much appreciated. Social Ministry will coordinate packaging and mailing at a date to be announced later. Deployed troops love letters from home too! Please consider writing a short letter of appreciation, a simple "thank you" is always appreciated!
