Confirmation Class (8th and 9th Grade)
Confirmation class meets every other Sunday evening, 6-8pm, from September through May/June. The gathering includes a meal, provided once per semester by the family of a student.
Confirmation at St. Paul follows a two-year program with the “Here We Stand” curriculum. Teachers use the web-based content for lessons on the Small Catechism, Old Testament, New Testament, and Lutheran Theology and Doctrine. The lessons refer to the Bible and The Lutheran Handbook, where students discover a combination of reliable, historical, and theological information alongside some fun facts and very practical tips on being a churchgoing follower of Jesus Christ. The book and classes are intended for learning and enjoyment, conversation, information and edification, and occasional laughter.
Generally, students at St. Paul in grades 8 and 9 take class and are confirmed in the Spring of 9th grade.
